HailMapr field guide

Roofing canvassing software connected to your hail maps

Turn a storm map into an organized day in the field. HailMapr Canvass keeps door pins, homeowner details, inspection appointments and follow-up in one shared workspace, so the next action stays with the property—not in a separate notebook.

Start with a storm, then work individual doors

Use the storm library to find a mapped event in your coverage area. Compare estimated hail sizes, Ground Impact and nearby reports before deciding where to inspect. Add a door from the storm map or the Canvass page. Both workflows collect the same door information.

A pin can also be saved without linking a storm. If a date of loss is relevant, enable that option and select a storm or enter a date and time manually. A radar estimate is a reason to investigate, not proof that a particular roof is damaged.

Record the visit without losing the history

Save a homeowner's name and contact details, add notes and record the result of each visit. Previous notes remain available separately from the new-note entry field, and the activity history helps your team see what changed. Keep No answer separate from Interested so a missed conversation is not mistaken for a qualified lead.

The pipeline includes New, No answer, Interested, Follow-up, Appointment set, inspection outcomes, Sold / Customer, Lost and Do not knock. Mark a completed inspection as work needed to keep the pin open, or complete it with no work needed. Keep Do not knock for properties your team should not revisit.

Schedule inspections as you move leads

Moving a card to Appointment set opens a date-and-time prompt. Save the appointment to move the card, or cancel to leave the original stage unchanged. On desktop, drag near the edge of the horizontal pipeline to scroll toward other stages. On a phone, the stage dropdown offers an alternative to dragging.

Use the Today view and follow-up information to plan your next contacts. Directions from a door help you reach the property; they are not an automatically optimized multi-stop route.

Give each sales rep a login and clear assignments

New door pins default to the person who creates them. Team members can see assignments and update door details, while only the account owner can change who is assigned. Reps on a State plan inherit the owner's subscribed state coverage; adding a seat does not add another state.

State and National plans include one account. Extra reps are $25 per month on monthly plans or $199 per year on annual plans, billed on the subscription's cycle. Organization includes five accounts at $999 per year. See current plans and seat pricing, then use Profile → Team & seats to manage your team.

Check property history before the next conversation

Open a door's Storm history section to research available weather records at that location. A history lookup started from a pin also appears in Your Report Activity on the historic data page. Keep the source and date of each record in view when discussing a potential loss.

Frequently asked questions

Can I add sales reps without an Organization plan?

Yes. State and National subscribers can buy additional seats from Profile → Team & seats. Reps share the owner's coverage and canvassing workspace.

Who can reassign a door pin?

Only the account owner can change assignments. New pins automatically assign to their creator.

Can I complete an inspection without marking it sold?

Yes. Completed — no work needed keeps the pin and its history without treating it as a sale. Inspected — work needed leaves it open for further action.
